Spruce Power is trying to be # 1 in California and they don't even take care of the contracts they already have. I have been trying to get them to bill the way my contract says they have to. They estimate my monthly bill. They bill me double what Edison reports. Do not use this solar company! Spruce Solar? I need help and keep getting the run around. Solar doesn’t work and they won’t fix. In year 12 of 20 year lease to own. Took 2 years to get a technician out and he couldn’t fix only said system is only working at about 25% and probably for 10 or more years. Said he needs permission from Spruce to come back with parts. I am writing this post to share my personal experience with Spruce Power and to warn others about the unacceptable service and support they provide. My 84-year-old mother has been a victim of their lack of responsibility for over a year now. She has been struggling with faulty solar panels, and despite multiple attempts to contact the company, she has received no assistance. I have 3 inverters out . Enphase says they are covered under warranty but spruce has to request them for free. Spoke to spruce they refuse to do anything. Everyday I get notification from enphase saying my system isn't producing what it should for the size of my system. Very disappointed in this company and with Solar. The panels have not been functioning correctly for almost a year and the wait time for customer service is over 45 minutes to an hour every time we call. My mother has been paying for a service that is not working, and on top of that, the company has been calling to collect payment. It's unacceptable and it has to stop!
